Nighttime Closure of Route 8 Northbound

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that, in order to facilitate construction work associated with the Route 8/I-84 Interchange (Mixmaster) rehabilitation project in Waterbury, Route 8 Northbound will need to be closed.
CLOSURE INFORMATION
Route 8 Northbound (north of Exit 32) will be closed nightly from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday, July 17, 2023 through Friday, July 21, 2023. This closure is necessary to install plates and barrier along the highway.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Motorists are advised to take Exit 32, proceed up northbound Riverside Street to the Route 8 Northbound on-ramp from Freight Street.
