On Friday, January 6, 2023, AAA Northeast honored Cindy Iodice, founder of the national Flagman Inc. campaign, and Senator Richard Blumenthal, as the club’s 2022 Traffic Safety Leadership “Heroes” at a news conference.

 
Cindy Iodice, formerly of Fairfield and currently of Honolulu, HI, has tirelessly developed Flagman Inc., a non-profit 501 (c)(3), (FlagmanSafety.com), a grassroots campaign created after the Slow Down, Move Over-related fatality of her brother Corey Iodice, a tow truck operator, several years ago.
