Weekend Lane Closures on I-84 Westbound

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that, in order to facilitate construction work associated with the Route 8/I-84 Interchange (Mixmaster) rehabilitation project in Waterbury, lanes will need to be closed on I-84 Westbound. These lane closures will continue multiple weekends excluding holiday weekends until November 1, 2020 the first of which will begin on Friday, March 20, 2020 through March 23, 2020.

The left lane on I-84 Westbound between Exit 21 (to Bank Street) extending past Exit 20 (to Route 8 Northbound) will be closed on Friday, March 20, 2020 beginning at 9:00 p.m. and will extend until Monday, March 23, 2020 at 6:00 a.m. The center lane will be closed (leaving only one lane of traffic) between 12:00 a.m. Friday night until Saturday Morning at 7:00 a.m., from 12:00 a.m. Saturday night until Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m., and from 12:00 a.m. Sunday evening until 6:00 a.m. Monday morning.
